What Current AIM Students Need to Know
The current AIM program is expiring, and you will need to complete the following exams by December 15, 2023, in order to earn your AIM designation through the expiring path:
- AIM 40, 44, and 45
To earn the AIM designation through the expiring path, students must complete all requirements, which includes the above courses, plus Ethics 311 or 312, before December 15, 2023.
Because the new AIM program has all-new content, there are no available cross-credits for the new program if you complete AIM 40, 44, or 45.
The new AIM program now includes all-new courses and content covering emotional intelligence and employee performance, organizational resiliency, how to interpret risk data to make strategic decisions, and much more, as well as earns you credit toward CPCU:
- AIM 330: Leading in an Evolving Risk Environment
- AIM 331: Managing Strategic Threats and Opportunities
- CPCU 520: Connecting the Business of Insurance Operations
Because the new AIM program has all-new content, there are no available cross-credits for the new program if you complete AIM 40, 44, or 45. To earn the AIM program through the expiring path, you must complete all expiring courses, plus Ethics, by December 15, 2023.

Complete the Expiring AIM Path
If completing AIM through the expiring path, you must complete all of the below steps before December 15, 2023. If interested in the new AIM program, there are no cross-credits available based on the all-new content and program structure, and students must complete all 3 new courses, plus Ethics.
