Badge Platform Transition FAQs
-
Why did I receive a new badge?
We've moved to a new digital badge platform, Accredible, to provide an improved badge experience. Your achievement hasn't changed, only where your badge is hosted and how it looks.
-
Do I need to do anything?
If you would like to accept the updated badge, follow the instructions in the email you received from Badging@TheInstitutes.org to access your badge on the new platform. If you don’t wish to use the updated badge, no action is needed.
-
How do I know this email is legitimate?
The email inviting you to access your updated badge will come from Badging@TheInstitutes.org. If you're unsure whether an email is authentic, contact Customer Success before taking any action.
-
Does my badge still represent the same achievement?
Yes. Your badge continues to represent the same achievement you earned. Only the badge platform and badge design have changed.
-
Can I still access my previous badge?
Yes. You can continue to access your previously issued badge through Credly. However, we ask that you only display one version of your badge to avoid duplicate badges for the same achievement.
-
Can I display both versions of my badge?
Since both badges represent the same achievement, we recommend displaying only one version of your badge.
-
I already accepted my badge before. Why did I receive another email?
As part of our move to a new platform, we're issuing updated badges to everyone who previously earned a badge from The Institutes. Even if you accepted your badge before, you'll receive a new invitation to access the updated version.
-
Why did I receive multiple emails?
You'll receive one email for each badge you've earned. Each badge is managed separately, so you'll need to access each one individually.
-
My new badge looks different. Is that expected?
Yes. As part of the transition, your badge has been updated with a new design. While the appearance has changed, the credential it represents has not.
-
Will my LinkedIn profile update automatically?
No. If you've previously shared your badge on LinkedIn or another platform, you'll need to update it if you'd like your profile to display the new version.
-
Do I need to update my resume or email signature?
You only need to update your resume or email signature if you've included a link to your previous badge and would like to use your updated badge instead.
-
I can't find my badge email.
Please check your spam or junk folder for an email from Badging@TheInstitutes.org. If you still can't locate it, contact Customer Success for assistance.
