What Current ARe Students Need to Know
Materials for the current ARe courses are expiring. The deadline to test on expiring materials is December 15, 2022. This includes:
- ARe 143, 144, and 145
ARe 145 is an online, self-paced course consisting of multiple-choice questions that does not include a final exam within our scheduled testing windows.
To earn the ARe designation through expiring ARe courses, students must also complete all below requirements within this designation path before December 15, 2022:
- 4 Core Courses: ARe 143, ARe 144, ARe 145, and CPCU 520
- 1 Elective Course: AIAF 114, ARM 402, or CPCU 540
- Ethics 311 or 312
The following courses provide credit toward the new ARe courses:
- ARe 143: Primary Insurance Coverages waives ARe 320
- ARe 144: Reinsurance Principles and Practices waives ARe 321
To gain credit for any of the above expiring ARe courses, you must complete your course by the December 15th, 2022, testing deadline.
To see how your current credits apply and what these changes mean for you, check your Progress Tracker for more details.
You may see credit toward the new designation path in your Progress Tracker based on the updated ARe path and possible course waivers.
