Continuing Education for CPCUs
Ongoing education helps CPCUs remain leaders who are at the forefront of emerging trends in risk management and insurance.
The CE commitment
Every CPCU commits to ongoing professional education as part of the CPCU Code of Conduct. CE for CPCUs is a reporting program that tracks continuing education and showcases a CPCU’s commitment to career and industry. Participating CPCUs are included on the CPCU in Good Standing list.
How to participate
- Earn 24 hours in 24 months
Earn 24 hours of credits every two years through The Institutes, The Institutes CPCU Society, CEU, or other qualifying activities (details below).
- Log your credits
Credits earned through The Institutes, CEU, and select CPCU Society offerings are automatically reported in the CE for CPCUs Reporting Tool. Additional activities can be manually entered. One hour of content = one credit hour.
- Complete the renewal process
Verify all reported activities to complete the renewal process, and pay the $189 reporting fee per two-year reporting period. This fee is waived if you are a member of the CPCU Society. Join today!
CE for CPCU Status
Active and ongoing participation in the CE for CPCUs program determines a CPCU’s status.
Good Standing: CPCUs who have completed 24 credits within the first two years of earning their designation and/or completed renewals within their ongoing two-year reporting windows.
Not in Good Standing: If a renewal has not been completed before the reporting period ends, the CPCU is considered inactive but still remains a CPCU designation holder.
